Why Do We Need This Project?

95th Street is a major transportation thoroughfare in the south side of Chicago and is a “911 Critical Crossing” that emergency vehicles use to serve the community.
It is one of the higher traffic volume streets in the region with a highway-rail at-grade crossing.
The study will evaluate ways to improve safety and mobility along 95th Street for all users.
